With Wheelin’ Walla Walla Weekend just around the corner, the Downtown Walla Walla Foundation is hitting the gas on its volunteer campaign.

The agency that coordinates the annual downtown car show, which includes a cruise and an array of activities, needs help getting things running.

The event takes place Sept. 6 and 7.

Volunteers are needed for three- or four-hour shifts.

In exchange, they receive a meal, a Wheelin’ T-shirt and immense gratitude.

Responsibilities, according to a post from the downtown foundation, include staffing registration, assistance during the Classics Cruise and activities related to that Saturday’s Show ‘n’ Shine.

To volunteer, call 529-8755.
