Dayton

Vandalism reported in the 300 block of Cottonwood Street.

Residential burglary reported in the 700 block of South Fourth Street.

Vehicle reportedly “parked incorrectly” in the 200 block of East Main Street.

Cash reported stolen from Dayton General Hospital.

Prescott

A vacuum cleaner salesman reported he was threatened by a man wielding a golf club. The golf enthusiast reportedly objected to the attempted sale of a vacuum cleaner to his mother.

Milton-Freewater

An employee of The Foodmart reported a female customer threw ice-water on another woman in the store.

A gun was reported stolen from a house in the 900 block of South Main Street.

Umatilla County

A Umapine woman received a letter informing her that she won a quarter-of-a-million dollars in the lottery. The letter contained a check for $4,250 and a note instructing her to deposit the check, then withdraw $3,850 for processing fees.
