Bob Bridges of Walla Walla died suddenly in San Diego while visiting his daughter. He was born April 3, 1951, to Don and Mary Bridges. He was raised in Milton-Freewater, where he excelled at baseball during his high school years. He graduated from Mac-Hi in 1969, he then went on to play baseball on a scholarship at Blue Mountain Community College in Pendleton, setting several records.
He married Brenda Wilder and they later divorced. He settled in Everett for many years, returning to Walla Walla the last few years. He devoted his last few years to his grandson he adopted and worked diligently with him on baseball. Recently he married Analou Bridges from the Philippines.
He is survived by his wife and adopted grandson, Dakota; his mother, Mary Bridges of Walla Walla; son, Nathan of Everett; daughter, Jennifer (Maurice) of San Diego; sister, Marcia (Bob) Daschofsky of Walla Walla; brothers, Bill (Carol) of Pendleton and Harlen (Sharon) of Vancouver; numerous nieces, nephews and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Bridges.
