Pioneer House gets new director

A new residence director is overseeing operations at Pioneer House.

Jennifer Oney was recently announced as the new residence director of the senior living community, 1018 Whitman St. In her new role, Oney is responsible for the overall management of the residence and the quality support of those who live there. That includes establishing relationships with residents, family members and community organizations; compliance with local and state policies; maintaining the budget; assisting those moving in; and operations.

A local resident since 2009, Oney came to the community from northern California with her husband, Jason, and two children. She has a degree in accounting from Colorado University and experience as a certified nursing assistant, medical assistant and caregiving, as well as history as a local business owner.

Pioneer House has operated under Assisted Living Concepts Inc., which was recently acquired by TPG Capital LP.

Operators of Pioneer House are also looking for volunteers and for caregivers with a calling for nurturing seniors. Those interested should call Oney at 522-4630.
