Blues, art part of annual Walla Walla Community Hospice fundraiser

WALLA WALLA — Big Font, playing Folk Americana and Piedmont blues, Whitman College student musicians, plus plein-air artists Marilee Schiff and Jean Ann Mitchell painting throughout the day are part of the annual Walla Walla Community Hospice Pond and Garden Tour from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Sept. 7.

The self-guided tour is of 10 beautiful local gardens that have ponds, creeks or other water features.

Tickets, $20, can be purchased at Bright’s Candies & Gifts, 11 E. Main St.; the hospice office, 1067 Isaacs Ave.; by credit card at 509-525-5561; or online at pondandgardentour.eventbrite.com.

Tickets include a tour map and entrance into the gardens.

All proceeds go to hospice care in Walla Walla, Columbia and Northeast Umatilla counties.
