Dianne (Russell) Pitner

Dianne Lee Pitner, 69, passed away at her home in Damascus, Ore., on Monday, Aug. 19, 2013, of heart failure.
Dianne was born April 18, 1944, to Dallas and Marjorie Russell in Dayton.
Dianne started school in Dixie. In 1953 the family moved to Walla Walla, where Dianne attended Washington Elementary, Garrison Junior High and graduated in 1962 from Walla Walla High School.
On Aug. 18, 1962, she married Bob Pitner, her childhood sweetheart.
Dianne worked at Baker Boyer Bank for several years before Bob’s career took them to Southern California. After several moves she and Bob moved to the Portland area in 1990.
Over the years Dianne enjoyed golf, bowling, cross stitching and tending to her plants.
Dianne is survived by her husband at the home in Damascus; her sister, Linda Bond of San Diego; brother, Don Russell of Walla Walla; nephews, Russell and David Bond and Pete Russell; and niece, Alison Nightingale. She is preceded in death by her son, Jonathon; her parents; and an infant sister.
At her request there will be no memorial service.
