The bride is the daughter of Rick and Carla Doyle of Walla Walla. She graduated in 1999 from Walla Walla High School and in 2003 from Bradley University, Peoria, Ill. She works for KMBC-TV in Kansas City.
The groom is the son of Chuck and Jenny Wright of Shawnee, Kan. He graduated in 2002 from Shawnee Mission North High School, Overland Park, Kan., and in 2007 from Truman State University, Kirksville, Mo. He works for Shawnee (Kan.) Mission North High School.
Shannon Doyle was the bride’s honor attendant. Grace Wright, the groom’s 8-year-old daughter, was his honor attendant.
Ruth and Eva Bryant, the groom’s nieces, were flowergirls. Steven Gallant, the bride’s nephew, was ring bearer.
In a special ceremony, the bride, groom and daughter Grace poured three different colors of sand into a large vase to represent the blending of their lives into one family. Grace was presented with a locket engraved with “B+C+G=Family 8/03/13.”
A reception followed the ceremony at the groom’s family home. A second reception was in St. Louis, Mo., the following day.
The newlyweds stayed in St. Louis for several days and then traveled to northern Arkansas to spend a few days in a yurt cabin on a mountainside in Chester, Ark.
They live in Shawnee.
