WALLA WALLA — Walla Walla Community College keeper Aiko Johnson made two saves to record a shutout against visiting Northwest Christian.
The Warriors won the match, 3-0, on goals by three different players.
WWCC’s Delaney Romero scored in the 22nd minute on a Mackena Carkner assist.
Alli Madril scored in the 40th minute for the Warriors unassisted.
Marais Hicks assisted Tash Anderson at the 89th minute.
“Most of the game we were in control but didn’t finish real well,” WWCC coach Chad Bodnar said. “In the back and on defense, we had a real good performance. We had a lot of shots out top and on offense but we should have made more goals.”
WWCC outshot NW Christian 14-2.
One yellow card was handed out in the match to Anderson for slide tackling.
The WWCC men and women both travel to Tacoma Tuesday for matches.
The women will play at 2 p.m. and the men at 4:15 p.m.
