Update: No arrests made yet in Walla Walla drive-by shooting

WALLA WALLA — No arrests had been made by Monday morning after a drive-by shooting over the weekend that injured two people, according to Walla Walla Police Department spokesman Tim Bennett.

Two 21-year-old men were shot at about 4:25 p.m. Saturday while walking in the area of the 200 block of Eagan Street, police said.

Shortly after responding officers arrived in the area, officials learned a gunshot victim had arrived at a local hospital, police said.

Another gunshot victim was found at an apartment complex, police said.

Each of the two victims was shot twice with a handgun, police said, and suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The names of the two men have not been released.

A nearby home was struck by a bullet, within inches of a window, Bennett added.

The investigation has been turned over to gang detectives from the Special Teams Unit due to the victims’ known affiliation, Bennett said.
