Man injured in Highway 12 collision

WALLA WALLA – A 69-year-old Walla Walla man was taken to a local hospital Wednesday after a three-vehicle collision at the Clinton Street intersection with State Route 12.

John A. Nelson was driving a 1988 Subaru north on Clinton Street when he attempted to pull onto State Route 12, and struck 1998 Chevrolet Blazer. The Blazer spun out of control and struck a third vehicle, according to a Washington State Patrol report.

Nelson was transported to Providence St. Mary Medical Center following the collision. No other injuries were reported, but all three vehicles were totaled.

Nelson was treated and released from the hospital, but could face failure to yield charges according to the Washington State Patrol report.
