WWVA hands Nixyaawii 67-49 loss

MISSION, Ore. — Walla Walla Valley Academy’s boys basketball team broke a close game at halftime into a 67-46 victory over Nixyaawii here Wednesday night.

The Knights held a 31-27 halftime edge, outscored the Golden Eagles by four in the third stanza and then outran them 21-8 in the fourth to cruise to the victory.

Malcolm Shaw hit five 3-pointers en route to 15 points for the Knights.

Dustin Rose scored 13, and Cameron Fitzgerald added 12.

All the WWVA players scored in the game.

WWVA hosts Upper Columbia Academy at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
