Walla Walla

Two incidents of vandalism were reported at the downtown Valley Transit transfer station at Fourth Avenue and Main Street. On Nov. 29, two unidentified males pushed over a soda vending machine. And on Thursday, graffiti was discovered in the men’s bathroom.

A resident of the 100 block of Malcolm Street reported the rear and driver’s side windows smashed on her pickup and one tire slashed Sunday overnight.

Walla Walla County

A woman parked near the Tuxedo Bar & Grill, 105 S. D St., Prescott, reported three vehicle tires slashed on Wednesday evening while she was in the business.


A fire completely destroyed a detached garage at the 84800 block of Woodrow Street Thursday 10:15 a.m. Milton-Freewater Rural Fire Department Crews were on the scene for two hours. The value of the garage was estimated at $10,000. The fire also caused about $2,000 in damage to the siding of the house. No injuries were reported. The cause is unknown but fire officials said the garage had a wood stove. The owners have yet to be notified, and the exact address is unknown.

Umatilla County

A one-vehicle rollover occurred Thursday 2:52 p.m. near Winn Road and Highway 11. The uninjured driver was aided by a passer-by, who stopped to check on his condition.
