WALLA WALLA — For many of those who have that impossible person to buy for still on the shopping list, a hand-painted soup bowl might that helps fund community needs might be what you need.
For its annual fundraiser — “Soupport”— Helpline solicits hand-painted bowls that subsequently go home with ticket buyers for the April soup luncheon.
The ceramic bowls are painted by volunteers who pay $10.89 for the privilege of going to The Pottery Painting Studio at Carnegie Center, 109 S. Palouse St., and creating art to be slurped out of.
Also available are gift certificates for $10.89 to give someone a chance to contribute to Helpline’s mission of providing emergency assistance to people in the community. The gift certificate receiver can go in and paint a bowl for use at Soupport.
For more details and reserve seating for painting, call studio manager Patrice Townsend at 509-301-9640.
