A Peppermint Party this weekend at Quail Run Retirement Community promises the organization’s “sweetest affair of the holiday season.”
The 3 p.m. party on Sunday at 1701 Plaza Way is part social event/part charity food drive. Nonperishable food donations secure admittance to the annual event and will be donated to the Pantry Shelf of Walla Walla, organizers said.
True to its name the Peppermint Party features a deliciously wide range of treats all infused with the flavor of peppermint — right down to the trays crafted by hand of peppermint. In fact, handcrafted peppermint plates and bowls will be featured as door prizes to be given away during the party.
Julie Jones and her Juliettes & Julios — also known as the Walla Walla Community College singers — will provide musical entertainment with accompaniment on the piano by Kristin Vining.
Attendees interested in learning more about the facility will be invited to a brief seminar on retirement living options designed to provide basic information and debunk dated beliefs about retirement living in a no-pressure sales environment.
Reservations for the party are appreciated and can be made by calling 529-2180. For more information on Quail Run, visit the operation’s Facebook page.
