Great to hear of the fine community support for the temporary warming station set up at the First Congressional Church last weekend. It is distressing to think that those who need to get out of the well -below-freezing weather cannot do so.
I see from your article that other churches are interested in participating in a cold-weather safety network. It will be great if this comes about. One of our sons is a director of Congregations for the Homeless in Seattle. I will find out how they make things work there and attend the Jan. 15 meeting.
