COLTON — Jenna Moser scored a game-high 27 points, including seven 3-point field goals, here Saturday night to lead four-time defending Class 1B state champion Colton to a 77-31 victory over Touchet in the league and regular-season opener for both schools.

Colton led 27-2 after one quarter and 65-19 after three.

“We had 25 turnovers in the first half,” Touchet coach Missy McKeown said. “We have a young team. This will be a growing year.

“The girls never gave up considering the score,” McKeown said. “They doubled us in every aspect — rebounds, 2s, 3s and free throws.”

Cierra Jo McKeown led Touchet with 18 points.

The Indians were scheduled to play at Rosalia on Friday, but the game was postponed, coach McKeown said. It is not certain whether or not the game will be rescheduled.

Touchet’s next game is Friday at Pomeroy.
