Donald Louis DeGrandmont, 87, of Walla Walla, died Dec. 2, 2013, of natural causes following a brief illness at Providence St. Mary Hospital. He was born Aug. 5, 1926, in Elk Point, S.D.
Mr. DeGrandmont resided in Walla Walla for over 30 years. He was the maintenance/production foreman for the Birds-Eye Division of General Foods Corporation. He was a member of Assumption Parish, VFW Post # 992, and a life member of Eagles Aerie No. 26. He was a chorister with Park Plaza Senior Living and enjoyed singing for several events in Walla Walla and the surrounding area.
He is survived by his sons, Kenny DeGrandmont of Sparks, Nev., and Keith DeGrandmont of Portland; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Darlene Yvonne; brother, Elphege; two sisters, Lucille Odom and Aurella DeZonia.
Military funeral honors and memorial services were held on December 11, 2013, at VFW Post 992.
