In Sunday’s Walla Walla Union-Bulletin in Annie Charnley Eveland’s Etcetera column regarding Fort Walla Walla Museum, it is claimed there are 384 countries in the world.
Maybe Fort Walla Walla Museum wanted to mention it has had 384 visitors from foreign countries. If not it would be interesting to know where all the revolutions have been.
My last count was 257 countries. Of course, countries come and go, but I do not think we have had so much inflation in geographical regions of the world.
If there have been 384 foreign visitors at Fort Walla Walla Museum in 2013, I think that is commendable and I am glad I have had a part in seeing that foreign visitors from our sister city, Sasayama, Japan, have made it to this great institution in our community.
While I am at it, I want to also commend Pacific Power for its contributions to ensure students, domestic and foreign, can visit the museum with waived admission fees.
