WALLA WALLA — Whitman College’s Sarah Anderegg has once again been selected as the Student Athlete of the Week for women’s basketball after her performance at the Kim Evanger Raney Classic in Sherwood Center last weekend.

In Friday’s matchup with Corban University, Anderegg had a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds to help boost the Missionaries to a 80-57 victory.

The following night, Anderegg rallied in the team’s victory over Eastern Oregon University to shoot 73.3 percent from the floor and score a season-high 32 points and grab five rebounds. Anderegg was also selected the Kim Evanger Raney All-tournament team MVP for her success over the weekend.

On the season, Anderegg is averaging 17.9 points per game and has scored no less than 12 points in any of the eight contests she has played in.

In Northwest Conference standings, she is currently second in the league in rebounds per game and third in the league in average points per game, just two spots behind her league-leading teammate Heather Johns.

Whitman remains undefeated with a 8-0 record and faces Warner Pacific in their next contest at home on Dec. 30.
