POMEROY — Pomeroy fell to Garfield-Palouse, 48-24, Saturday at home in Southeast 1B girls basketball.

A win for the Pirates (4-12 SE1B) would have meant a district playoff berth.

“It was a frustrating way to end the season,” Pomeroy coach Nettie Severs said. “But we lose only one senior to graduation and we look forward to summmer ball. We also look forward to a better season next year.”

Delaney Monahan scored six points and pulled down 10 boards to lead Pomeroy.
