Five-star linebacker Foster chooses Alabama

ATLANTA — Five-star linebacker prospect Reuben Foster will play for Alabama after a recruiting process that left him torn between the state’s two rivals — and sporting an Auburn tattoo.

The Auburn (Ala.) High School star said Monday night on Fox SportsSouth that he plans to sign with the two-time defending national champion Crimson Tide over the Tigers — where he had committed at one point — and Georgia. He had switched his initial commitment from Alabama to rival Auburn, and then withdrew his pledge to the Tigers after the firing of coach Gene Chizik. Before flipping, though, he got an Auburn tattoo etched onto his right forearm.
