MILTON-FREEWATER — Makia Carlson led Mac-Hi with 10 points and Avery Wells scored eight in a 56-27 loss to Ontario Saturday in a Greater Oregon League girls basketball matchup.

Wells and Sam Tveidt led the Pioneers with five boards apiece.

“The girls played well tonight,” Mac-Hi coach Nicole Christian said. “Best I’ve seen them play all season.”
