COLFAX — St. John-Endicott eliminated the Touchet girls from the consolation bracket of the District 9 basketball tournament Tuesday.

The Indians held a 29-26 advantage going into halftime, but the Eaglecats changed things up after the break and came away with a resounding 60-43 victory.

After playing a zone defense in the first half, SJE switched to a help-side man defense in the second and the change paid off as Touchet failed to score in the third.

Meanwhile, the Eaglecats went off for 20 points to take a decisive 46-29 lead into the final quarter.

The loss ends Touchet’s season at 14-8. Forward Kayla Gutierrez and post Kristen Warner are graduating.

Cierra Jo McKeown and Warner each scored 15 points to lead the Indians. Harlie Schaeffer added eight.
