Walla Walla School Board to begin meeting with executive session


WALLA WALLA — The Walla Walla School Board will meet in executive session Tuesday prior to its regular monthly meeting.

The executive session, which is closed to the public, will start at 5 p.m. at district offices, 364 S. Park St., and focus on the performance of an employee.

At 6:30 p.m., the board will hold a regular meeting. During the evening, the board will consider two action items: a resolution on sequestration and federal funding for education; and a policy on naming schools and facilities.

Garrison Middle School students will present on Positive Behavior Intervention Support.

Reports will be presented from the superintendent, board of directors, the ESEA waiver and the teacher/principal evaluation pilot.

Consent agenda items include a personnel report, extracurricular contracts, accounts payable, a financial report, ASB/district imprest accounts.

On Wednesday, the district has scheduled an audit entry conference at 2 p.m. in the superintendent’s conference room of district offices. A majority of board members will attend, but no decisions will be made. The audit entry meeting is also open to the public.
