Peer support group for bipolar sufferers to start


WALLA WALLA — A peer support group for people age 18 and older living with bipolar disorder is set to launch. Local counselor Oliver von Birkenwaldeau will facilitate meetings on the first Tuesday of every month, beginning next week, 5:30-6:30 p.m.

Discussions will include education about bipolar disorder, support and recovery strategies. The licensed social worker has two decades of experience in helping people recognize symptoms and triggers, and teaching skill building to regain control of life.
