Walla Walla Dance Company will present “Spinderellas” at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 12 in Cordiner Hall, 46 S. Park St.
The dance is an original production about six sisters who spin their way to stardom.
Choreography is by Nancy Wells, Jennifer Clark, Justine Clark and guests.
This production will feature more than 100 local dancers ages three and up performing jazz, contemporary, ballet, hip hop and break-dance.
This story is very loosely based on the classic Cinderella story but with more flavor and pizzazz for the whole family to enjoy.
The Spinderellas work hard to make the best of their life with the Wicked Stomp Mama and the spoiled Steppin Bros as well as their beautiful Irish Step Sister.
Their fairy Godmothers enlist the help of stylists, The 3 Blonde Mice, to help the six girls get ready for the ball.
No waltzing here — the Prince is hosting a full-on disco. A fun story and a happy ending.
Starring as the Spinderellas are: Ella Nelson, Sadie Robinson, Aanika Swant, Colleen McKibben, Mimi Filan and Emmie Ogden.
Tickets, $10 for seniors and students, $12 general admission and $15 for reserved seating, are available at Earthlight Books and at the door.
