D’Sean E. Martin Marks, 19, 2332 New Haven Drive, was sentenced Dec. 23 on one count violation of the Uniform Controlled Substance Act. The court dismissed four other counts. The sentence included $200 in court costs, $62 in sheriff fees, $500 to the crime victims compensation fund, $775 in attorney fees, $1,000 violation of the Uniform Controlled Substance Act fee, $500 drug enforcement fund, $100 biological fee, 40 days in the county jail, credit for 40 days served, 12 months community custody. On Dec. 28 Marks pleaded guilty to unlawfully possessing methamphetamine on Nov. 18.

JUVENILE CASES

Benjamin L. Wilber, 13, no address available, was sentenced Dec. 28 on one count violation of the Uniform Controlled Substance Act and two counts third-degree theft. The sentence included 30 days in the Juvenile Justice Center, credit for 27 days served, 12 months community supervision, 45 hours community service, $100 to crime victims compensation fund, $110 in court costs. On Dec. 14 Wilber pleaded guilty to unlawful possession of methocarbamol without a prescription and to taking merchandise not exceeding $750 with intent to deprive the owner on Nov. 5 and with intent to deprive the true owner, took three Dell computers from Garrison Middle School on Nov. 27.

Braulio D. Gamez, 15, 1331 W. Pine St., No. 13, was sentenced Dec. 28 on one count each third-degree theft and fourth-degree assault — domestic violence. The sentence included 20 days in the Juvenile Justice Center, credit for 15 days served, 9 months community supervision, 30 hours community service, $100 to crime victims compensation fund, $110 in court costs, restitution of $41.25. On Dec. 14 Gamez pleaded guilty to, with intent to deprive the true owner, took merchandise not exceeding $750 in value from Shopko on Nov. 22 and under circumstances not amounting to assault in the first-, second-, third-degree or custodial assault, did assault a family member on Nov. 29.

Robert Lucero, 12, 2022 E. Alder St. was sentenced Dec. 28 on one count each third-degree theft, third-degree malicious mischief and second-degree criminal trespass. The sentence included 15 days in the Juvenile Justice Center, credit for 2 days served, 9 months community supervision, 30 hours community service, $100 to crime victims compensation fund, $110 in court costs, restitution of $434.59. On Dec. 14, Lucero pleaded guilty to knowingly and maliciously causing physical damage to the property of another, not amounting to first- or second-degree, by slashing tires and willfully obtaining property of another of a value not exceeding $750 with intent to deprive and owner; and to knowingly entering or remaining in or upon a property, all on Sept. 23.
