RICHLAND — A 10th and final 3-pointer at the buzzer for Liberty Christian sank the Touchet Indians here Tuesday night, 50-47, in Southeast 1B boys basketball.
Ruben Butler was fouled on a putback with 4.1 seconds left and made both free throws to tie it at 47.
A Liberty Christian pass to halfcourt, quickly relayed to the corner of the 3-point line, was struck home by Mike Olson for the win at the horn.
Touchet led 26-16 going into halftime.
“We got over confident after the half,” Touchet coach Tim McKeown said. “We did a lot standing around and finger pointing in that second half. We didn’t take care of our own faults or take care of business.”
The Indians’ loss drops their record to 2-6 in league.
Touchet travels to Rosalia Saturday for a 6 p.m. tip.
