WWVA boys beat Irish, 59-49

COLLEGE PLACE — Walla Walla Valley Academy knocked off DeSales, 59-49, in Southeast 2B boys basketball here Tuesday night.

“It was great to get a tough league win,” WWVA coach Scott Wagner said, “against a DeSales team that came well prepared for us.”

WWVA’s Alexander Wagner led all scorers with 18 points and Cameron Fitzgerald chipped in 16.

Wagner nailed five of the Knights’ eight 3-pointers.

WWVA outrebounded DeSales 51-21.

The Irish are at Dayton Friday at 7:30 p.m and the Knights are at Tri-Cities Prep today.
