MILTON-FREEWATER — A detached garage at a residence was heavily damaged by a fire Tuesday.
Milton-Freewater Fire Chief Shane Garner said the fire was reported about 7 p.m. at 611 Ward St. A vehicle parked in the driveway was damaged by the heat and flames, but there was no damage to the nearby home.
There were no injuries reported to the home’s residents or to firefighters, Garner said. The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
