Can anyone answer? Why are so many people applauding our government’s attempt to disregard our Constitution by limiting guns deemed as assault weapons to law-abiding citizens, yet saying nothing when our government allowed the transfer of these same weapons to known criminals along our southern border?
Another thing I would like to ask. Once you allow our government to restrict one right you don’t agree with, what will stop it from restricting other rights you do agree with?
Why is it considered an epidemic when in the past year four clearly mentally ill people commit a crime with illegally obtained weapons in clearly marked no-gun zones while over 89 million law-abiding registered gun owners did not?
I have one more question. With over 300 million registered guns in the U.S., how can anyone assume future crimes with guns will be eliminated simply by restricting future sales of guns?
It seems to me the only way to prevent these crimes is to physically enter every home in the U.S. and confiscate all firearms found. Then find all secret hiding places of those who want to keep their guns.
Then have checkpoints where every citizen can be searched to ensure they are not concealing a gun on their body. Then close off our borders so no guns from foreign countries can enter.
Only by taking these steps can we be sure that criminals and the mentally ill will not have access to guns, thus eliminating the possibility any further crimes with guns. It hasn’t worked to keep illegal drugs off our streets, but maybe it can work for guns.
