KENNEWICK — Early foul trouble plagued the Waitsburg-Prescott boys basketball team. Before they could get out of foul trouble, a 10-point lead was already intact for Tri-Cities Prep, late in the second quarter and the Jaguars went on to the 60-50 victory Saturday night.

W-P rallied to cut the lead to four points in the fourth with five minutes to go in the game.

“It seems like this is how the whole season has gone,” W-P coach Tavis Crittenden said. “We get behind, fight back and then can’t hit the really big shots to win. It seems like everybody is hitting the big shots but us.”

Owen Lanning led W-P with 15 points and a three assists. Stirling Eastman added eighth points and Dalton Estes had six.

Logan Dozier was the team leader in rebounds with 12.

W-P (3-12, 1-5 Southeast 2B) plays again Friday at home at 7:30 p.m.
