Sessions aim to help prevent scam victimization

WALLA WALLA — A workshop intended to help attendees avoid scams will be held Wednesday in the board room of the YMCA, 340 S. Park St.

Daryl Pearson, president of the Washington State Crime Prevention Association will present at two sessions, from 10:30-11:30 a.m. and 6:30-7:30 p.m.

Topics will include: avoiding investment scams and fraud, pyramid and Ponzi schemes, reverse mortgages, life settlements and more.
