DAYTON — The host Bulldogs dropped a 53-41 Southeast 2B boys basketball decision to DeSales Saturday despite a 19-point effort by Wyatt Frame.

Cam Richman led the Irish with 17 points and Travis Haen added 16.

The third quarter helped decide the outcome of the game. DeSales outscored Dayton 22-6.

“They picked it up and we didn’t,” Dayton coach Roy Ramirez said. “They came out with more energy and we didn’t. We didn’t execute on either end. They played well on defense and we didn’t respond.”

“Our shots were falling,” DeSales coach Allyn Griffin said. “The first time we played them, we had a good third quarter. We made some adjustments to what we were doing offensively and things turned out real well for us.”

Dayton hosts Walla Walla Valley Academy Tuesday. DeSales travels to Sunnyside Christian on Tuesday.
