GRANT FUNDS: Approved interlocal agreement with city of Walla Walla for distribution of 2013 Byrne Justice Assistance program grant funds to enhance law enforcement technology. Unanimous.
PUBLIC HEALTH: Approved contract with state Department of Social and Health Services for county to manage Work First Program. Unanimous.
JUVENILE JUSTICE: Approved county program agreement with Department of Social and Health Services for Street Youth Services program. Unanimous.
ROAD PROJECT: Opened bids for JB George-Peppers Bridge Road intersection project. Two bids received. Recommendation for contract award to be made after review of bids by Public Works Department. No action taken.
SOFTWARE: Discussed proposed purchase of new assessment and taxation software for county Auditor’s Office and county Treasurer’s Office. Postponed action to allow time for legal review of contract. No action taken.
EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT: Approved contract with state Military Department for radiological emergency planning related to the Columbia Generating Station nuclear power plant. Unanimous.
TRANSFER: Approved transfer of surplus laptop computer from county Emergency Management Department to city of Walla Walla Fire Department. Unanimous.
