WALLA WALLA — Seattle songwriter Jill Cohn will play from 6:30-9 p.m. Friday at Three Rivers Winery, 5641 Old Highway 12.
Cohn is known for diverse styling and heart-string-tugging ballads which intermingle with the humorous/quirky brighter side of things.
The singer just released her first studio effort in nearly five years. The release, “Beautiful I Love You” is a collection of indie-folk songs that take a whimsical and somewhat bittersweet look inside long distance love affairs, relocation and a traveling girl’s solo adventures in a man’s world.
This show will feature Bay Area guitarist Dave Sampson who recorded the “Beautiful I Love You” CD with Cohn in Seattle and Los Angeles late last year.
Cohn grew up in Eastern Washington and cut her first CD while living in Los Angeles. She returned to the Northwest and began to establish herself as a Seattle artist and then became a full-time touring musician in late 1999. Her music has been heard in popular TV show soundtracks, including: “Dawson’s Creek,” “Hawthorne,” “Smallville,” and in the United Kingdom on the TV Series, “SKINS.”
Food and beverage will be available. All ages may attend.
Tickets are $5 for lawn seating, $30 for a reserved table for 4 or $40 for a reserved table for 6 people.
