Tamástslikt’s first-ever Teen Night set for Friday

PENDLETON — Tamástslikt Cultural Institute announced its first-ever Teen Night for youths ages 13-17 Friday at the Museum, 47106 Wildhorse Blvd.

Youths may drop in anytime from 4-7 p.m. to take part in a collaborative art project, watch ongoing music videos, create their own art, mingle with friends and snack on pizza and beverages. Admission, refreshments and materials are free.

Youths can contribute to a group art work that will be displayed at Tamástslikt.

Artistic skills are not required in the multimedia project that includes explosive colors, historic images, and musical inspiration provided by A Tribe Called Red.

Future Teen Nights are being organized by a Teen Council that determines activities based on current events and the interests and hobbies of local young people.

Teens interested in participating on the Council can call Sandi Franklin at 541-429-7723 or cassandra.franklin@tamastslikt.org.
