A shooting occurred at Sixth Avenue and Moore Street on Saturday just after 12 a.m. A young couple were shot and taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. According to police, the couple were shot as they entered their vehicle. Details are still unclear as the investigation continues. No suspects have been identified nor have any arrests been made.
Graffiti was reported on a garage at the 500 block of Willow Street.
A vehicle prowl was reported Friday 10:58 p.m. at Windermere Real Estate, 202 S. First Ave. The vehicle windows were left open and a purse was taken.
Walla Walla County
A four-vehicle collision about 2 miles east of Wallula Junction involving two semis sent one man to the hospital and closed U.S. Highway 12 for about three hours Friday 8:15 a.m. According to Washington State Patrol, a 2001 Kenworth tractor trailer loaded with hay and driven westbound by Aaron Deibele, 21, of Deer Park, Wash., struck the rear of a 1994 Toyota pickup driven by Chris Chase, 56, of Tenino, Wash. No other injuries were reported. Chase was treated and released from Providence St. Mary Medical Center. Deibele was cited with negligent driving.
A resident of the 900 block of Evans Street reported various items stolen from a fifth-wheel trailer.
A two-vehicle, noninjury accident occurred Friday 10:16 p.m. at the 00 block of Columbia when vehicles struck each other while changing lanes.
