WALLA WALLA — The man and woman who were wounded during a drive-by shooting Saturday have been released from the hospital, according to police.
The victims, described as a young couple, both suffered wounds from handgun-caliber bullets, said Officer Tim Bennett, spokesman for the Walla Walla Police Department.
The man was struck in the torso, and the woman suffered an injury to her leg.
The shooting took place early Saturday morning while the two were getting into a vehicle near Sixth Avenue and Moore Street. Both suffered injuries from flying glass and other debris during the shooting, Bennett said.
Police are still investigating, but have not identified any suspects or a motive for the assault.
