WALLA WALLA — Photography and sketches by Emily Pryor will be on exhibit through August at the Walla Walla Roastery, 290 A St., .
Pryor, 16, will be a junior at Walla Walla High School.
The exhibit is open for viewing from 7:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday and 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturdays.
She enjoys taking photos of her surroundings. “Photography has always piqued her interest; and recently, she decided to act on the notion of acquiring a hopeful career in photography,” said her mother Joanne Pryor, in a release.
While not influenced by specific artists, she’s inspired by viewing art in general.
In addition to photography, she produces an occasional sketch using a mechanical pencil as her primary medium along with an eraser.
Emily took a semester of photography at Walla Walla High School, where she’ll be entering her junior year this fall.
Other areas of interest are playing guitar, singing and hanging out with friends.
All her photographs are captured using a Nikon DSLR 5100 with either an 18-55mm or 55-300mm lens.
