Robert Day’s letter to the editor was right!
Where is the respect?
There were no announcements I heard or saw about the Vietnam Memorial Wall service at Fort Walla Walla on May 8. There were four people there for that service. So sad.
Think about all those who have been in all these wars — wars I’ve known of from age 7. Some of our family didn’t come back either.
No one could hate war much more than I. Yet, I can only feel thanks and respect for our veterans.
Also, for their families. They too have paid a heavy price.
Should a person not be able to respect their freedom here in America, which is paid for at such great cost, well then — try to find “your freedom” in some other country?
God bless America.
