Michael A. Nelson, 29, no permanent address listed, was charged May 22 with violation of the Uniform Controlled Substances Act. Nelson is accused of possessing methamphetamine on May 21.

Miguel Gonzalez, 38, 1517 Defense Ave., was charged May 23 with voyeurism. Gonzalez is accused of looking into a bathroom window to view a naked, juvenile girl on May 8.

Joan P. Witherrite, 19, Kennewick, was sentenced May 23 on three counts violation of the Uniform Controlled Substance Act. The sentence included $200 in court costs, $425.10 in sheriff fees, $500 to the crime victims compensation fund, $775 in attorney fees, $1,000 violation of the Uniform Controlled Substance Act fee, $500 drug enforcement fund, $100 crime lab and biological fee, 30 days in the county jail, credit for eight days served, 22 days converted to Department of Corrections 176 hours DOC supervised community service, 12 months community custody. On May 22 Witherrite signed a stipulation of facts sufficient for a finding of guilt.

Melissa A. Wiegert, 37, 827 E. Alder St., was sentenced May 28 on one count each third-degree theft and violation of the Uniform Controlled Substance Act. The court dismissed one other count. The sentence included $200 in court costs, $111.20 in sheriff fees, $250 to the crime victims compensation fund, $775 in attorney fees, $500 drug enforcement fund, $100 crime lab fee, 364 days in the county jail, 358 days suspended, credit for six days served, 12 months probation. On May 12 Wiegert pleaded guilty to stealing property from Shopko of a value not exceeding $750 and using drug paraphernalia to inject a controlled substance, both on Dec. 14.

Curtis L. Thompson, 47, Waitsburg, was sentenced May 28 on one count failure to register as a sex offender. The sentence included $200 in court costs, $99 in sheriff fees, $500 to the crime victims compensation fund, $775 in attorney fees, $100 biological fee, 43 months in the custody of the Department of Corrections, credit for 162 days served, 36 months community custody. On May 28 Thompson pleaded guilty to failing to comply with registration requirements while being a person with a duty to register for a felony sex offense on or about July 9.

Kevin S. Arreola, 19, address not confirmed, was charged May 28 with second-degree assault — domestic violence, and harassment — domestic violence. Arreola is accused of assaulting a person, and knowingly and unlawfully threatening to kill the person on May 27.

Jeffrey T. Williams, 25, Toppenish, Wash., was charged May 28 with two counts of violation of the Uniform Controlled Substances Act. Williams is accused of possessing methamphetamine and using drug paraphernalia on May 26.

Elijah D. Manson, 23, 507 W. Chestnut St., was sentenced May 29 on one count second-degree taking a motor vehicle without permission. The sentence included restitution of $2,491.72, $200 in court costs, $119.64 in sheriff fees, $500 to the crime victims compensation fund, $775 in attorney fees, $100 biological fee, 61 days in the county jail, credit for 61 days served. On May 17 Manson pleaded guilty to second-degree taking of a motor vehicle without permission.
