Rebecca Lynn “Becky” Bennett

September 22, 1969 – June 8, 2013 Walla Walla ~ Rebecca Lynn “Becky”

Bennett, 43, passed away June 8, 2013, at Walla Walla General Hospital,

1025 S. 2nd Avenue, Walla Walla, Washington.

Becky was born September 22, 1969, in

Spokane, Washington, to Harold M. and

Nora Jane Wilson Bennett, Jr. She graduated

from Green Mountain High School in

Lakewood, Colorado, in 1989. The family

moved to this area from Lakewood in August

of 1995, and Becky attended Walla Walla

Community College, receiving an Associate

Degree in Accounting and Bookkeeping in


Becky endured many challenges in her life

due to a very rare bone disease, osteogenesis

imperfecta, but always maintained a positive,

optimistic attitude and lived life to the fullest.

She was very caring and loving to her friends and

family and those she met. She helped raise and

loved her nieces and nephews and great-nephews.

She loved animals and was especially fond of

butterflies. She volunteered at the Red Cross, Relay

for Life, Park Manor Rehabilitation Center and Lillie

Rice Center.

Becky is survived by her parents, Harold “Frosty” and

Nora Jane Bennett of Walla Walla; sister and brotherin-

law, Jennifer and Bruce McCutcheon also of Walla

Walla; brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Lorilee

Bennett of Spokane; her grandmother, Lola Bennett

also of Walla Walla; nieces and nephews: Emilee

Bennett, Alex Bennett, Savannah Ashley, Jake Bennett

and Thomas “TJ” Ashley; great-nephew, Jaidyn Ashley;

uncle Bruce Bennett of Spokane and numerous aunts,

uncles and cousins.

Family and friends may pay their respects from 9:00

a.m. until 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 12, 2013, at

Mountain View-Colonial DeWitt, 1551 Dalles Military

Road, Walla Walla, Washington. The funeral service will

be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 13, 2013, at the funeral

home. The graveside service and burial will follow

at Mountain View Cemetery, 2120 S. 2nd Avenue,

Walla Walla. Rev. Don Schack will officiate. Memorial

contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital of

Spokane through the funeral home.
