Feral cat capture and neuter program gets $10,000 grant

WALLA WALLA — The Blue Mountain Humane Society and Cat Management Coalition have received a $10,000 grant to further the work of the trap, neuter and release program.

The money allows the organizations to expand efforts to reduce the number of homeless and free-roaming cats in Walla Walla County safely and effectively, by replacing older traps used for capture and to subsidize additional spay and neuter operations.

The animals are also vaccinated and microchipped during the procedure.
