Bomb squad takes suspicious items from Walla Walla home

WALLA WALLA – Washington State Patrol Bomb Squad members seized items from a home last night after a concerned citizen requested a welfare check on the resident of 1545 Olive St.

Sgt. Kevin Braman of the Walla Walla Police Department said officers responded at 2:54 p.m. Monday.

There was no one in the house when officers entered to check on the resident, according to Braman, but officers noticed several suspicious items that prompted them to request a search warrant and call out the bomb squad.

Bomb squad members arrived just before 7 p.m., and removed several items from the home.

Braman said the investigation is ongoing
