WALLA WALLA — The Walla Walla Chamber Music Festival has two full chamber music concerts set for 7:30 p.m. Saturday and 7:30 p.m. June 29. Both concerts will be at Gesa Power House Theatre, 111 N. Sixth Ave.
On the play list for Saturday are contemporary composer Dan Welcher’s Dante Dances; Cappricio No. 2 in G major, Op. 5 by Friedrich Hermann; Prelude a l’apres-midi d’une faune by Debussy, Petroushskates by contemporary composter Joan Tower; followed by Anton Aransky’s String Quartet No. 2 in a minor, Op. 35.
Performers for the evening will be Sarah Brady, Winston Choi, Timothy Christie, Julia Gish-Salerno, Norbert Lewandowski, Christina McGann, Stephen Miahky, Philip Payton, David Requiro, Maria Sampen, Kevin Schempf, Meta Weiss and MingHuan Xu.
On June 29 the chamber musicians will perform The Concerto for violin, piano and string quartet in D, by French composer Ernest Chausson and Pyotr Ilich Tchaikovsky’s Souvenir de Florence, for string sextet in D, Op. 70.
Performers for this concert will be Winston Choi, Timothy Christie, Julia Gish-Salerno, Norbert Lewandowski, Christina McGann, Stephen Miahky, Philip Payton, Maria Sampen, Meta Weiss and MingHuan Xu.
Tickets are $20 for adults, child and student tickets are $8 and a family ticket for two adults and up to four children is $45.
