Three Rivers Winery is bringing back its “Movie in the Vineyard” series.
The Walla Walla winery, 5641 Old U.S. Highway 12, kicks off its summer movie series Friday with a film under the stars. “Ghostbusters” will be the first in a series of five films shown between June and September in the winery’s amphitheater.
Movies this year will be free to attend. Guests are invited to bring lawn chairs or blankets for maximum relaxation during the movie.
Three Rivers wines will be available for purchase by the glass, as will a small assortment of nonalcoholic drinks, cheese plates, snack items and treats. Guests are asked to purchase snacks or beverages onsite rather than bringing their own.
Free popcorn will be provided with an wine purchase to those 21 and older, and to any kids in attendance for the all-ages event.
The movies start at dusk, and doors will open about 45 minutes before then.
Some of this season’s movie showings will have theme nights to include specials or activities.
On the lineup: “Trouble with the Curve” on July 12; “Under the Tuscan Sun” (Date Night) on Aug. 9; “Casablanca” (Classics Night) on Aug. 23; “Ratatouille” (Family Night) on Sept. 13.
