The vibrant, happy, successful city we want to live in depends on all of its citizens. With a little time and effort, we can all be volunteers to insure this will be our future.
The city of Walla Walla needs citizens to be members of boards that hear about concerns and propose solutions.
Do you ride a bike, care about safety and bike lanes? Do you walk in your neighborhood and care about sidewalks?
Perhaps you need to volunteer to be on the Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee.
Do you value our older historic homes and other buildings? The Historic Preservation Commission needs members.
How would you help plan for the future of our community? The Planning Commission needs you.
How will we deal with water and waste water? There’s an advisory committee for that also.
If you have ideas about the sustainability of our community, guess what, there is probably a committee for that.
The city clerk at City Hall will provide you with an application if you walk in or you could call to have one mailed to you.
