Glen E. Mings passed away peacefully Feb. 26, 2013. He was born in Buhl, Ida., Sept. 26, 1931, to Ruth and Henry Mings.
He was one of 6 children and grew up in Dayton.
Glen married Glenna Ham in Clarkston, on March 17, 1950. He worked for Potlatch, Pacific Fruit and Produce, was the Asotin Town Marshall from 1955 to 1962, moved to Dayton where he was chief of police until 1970, moved to Grand Coulee and worked on the dam until going overseas and working construction in the Middle East.
They moved back to Clarkston in 1983 where he spent many years fishing on the river for steelhead and pike minnow bounties.
He was preceded in death by a daughter; parents; and one brother. Glen is survived by his wife, Glenna of 62 years; one daughter, Ginny and husband Bruce Leseman of Juliaetta, Ida.; two sons, Glen Mings Jr and his wife Joyce of Almira, Wash., and Guy Ray Mings and his wife Colleen of Plymouth, Wash.; nine grandchildren; 13 and ¾ great-grandchildren.
No services are planned as were his wishes.
