WALLA WALLA — Sign-up for the 4-H Super Saturday for first- and second-graders is under way.
Super Saturday is a day of fun-filled educational workshops, where youths may explore new areas of interest, improve existing skills and participate in hands-on activities. Participants need not be 4-H members to attend.
Class sizes are limited and the registration deadline is March 15.
Classes include: search and rescue; Jazzercise; origami; vet class; powerful presentation posters; drawing tips; get published; karate; eco- bot challenge; light, cameras, action!; team building; SWAT and hostage negotiations; community service project; market animal selection and care; judging basics; and cooking classes.
The program will be held from 9 a.m.-2:15 p.m. on March 23 in the St. Patrick Catholic Church community building, 425 W. Alder St.
Registration and a fee of $2 are required to attend. Youth scholarships are available in case of financial hardship.
Pizza and drinks will be available for purchase during the lunch hour or participants may bring a brown bag lunch.
